Fees and Funding

You’ll need to pay an annual tuition fee for your course.  The fee you will pay depends on the course you are studying, if it’s full-time or part-time and whether you are a home or international student.

They will also be quoted in your offer letter, together with your fee status. Fees quoted are normally for one year of study and are subject to increases in subsequent years.

We carry out fee status assessments when you apply.  If you think you have been assessed incorrectly then you will need to contact us through the Applicant Portal.

There are also additional costs that are not covered by your tuition fees.  These are for things like books, printing, and gown hire at congregation.  There may also be additional charges involved in your course, for example, field study visits.  Your department will be able to tell you more about these costs.

Additional administrative charges may also be made for things such as re-examination and late payments.

You’ll also need to budget for living expenses.  How much you’ll need depends on your own personal circumstances, but you’ll need to cover accommodation costs, food and other household expenses, utilities, clothing, travel, mobile phone and leisure.  Our guide to living costs may help you work out how much you might need to allocate in your budget for these kinds of expenses.
