Launched in 2020, The Internships and Industry Fund for Computer Science provides financial assistance to students enrolled on an undergraduate Computer Science or Natural Science course, to support the uptake of internships and other industry activities.
Due to the generous support of Durham Alumnus and former Netflix CPO, Dr. Neil Hunt, the Internships and Industry Fund for Computer Science is in place to support students in taking up a career-enhancing internship, placement or similar work experience opportunity within industry.
The aim of the fund is to support students with some of the costs associated with completing an internship, placement or similar activity, both in the UK and internationally. All applications must be made via the application form on this page, and by the deadline.

Please submit the completed Internships and Industry Fund for Computer Science Application Form to cs.office@durham.ac.uk
It may take several weeks for your application to be considered and processed by the University so please ensure you submit your application in good time before your internship/placement/experience is due to start.
The deadline for applications in this cycle is Friday 20th June 2025.

If you are successful in receiving support from the Internships and Industry Fund, then it is a mandatory requirement that you complete and return the Internships and Industry Fund for Computer Science Feedback Form so that your fund donor can be updated on how the fund has supported you.
