COLFUTURO awards take the form of a scholarship loan of up to US$50,000. Students may be awarded COLFUTURO scholarships for 80% of the loaned amount, provided they accomplish certain requirements. Durham University is pleased to offer a full tuition fee scholarship for one COLFUTURO beneficiary accepted onto a Taught Postgraduate programme (apart from MBA).
All other students (Postgraduate Taught and Research) in receipt of COLFUTURO funding will receive a 20% discount on their tuition fee for the duration of their programme. The candidate for the full tuition fee waiver will be selected by Durham University after the results of the Colfuturo call are announced in June 2025.

Please ensure you have submitted an academic application to Durham University for one of the eligible programmes via the postgraduate online application portal. You can also apply for a programme after your COLFUTURO application, but it is strongly advised to apply to the University as soon as possible.
Please note: When completing your postgraduate online academic application form for your programme of study: In the section on Funding please answer 'Yes' to the question 'Have your either applied or are going to apply for a scholarship?’ Then select ‘COLFUTURO scholarship’ from the drop-down menu. There is no separate scholarship application for Durham University's COLFUTURO scholarships, all eligible Colombian offer holders will be considered.
