I am thrilled to be taking on the role as Chair of the Technician Commitment Steering group at Durham University, as this aligns so clearly with my ambition as Research Culture lead to ensure we focus on improving the status and career progression of technician colleagues. Our technicians and support facilities are critical to the work in the delivery of world-class research and teaching. The Technician Commitment isan important opportunity for technicians at DU to increase their visibility and showcase their vast range of skills and experience covering every aspect of what the University does and to demonstrate their contribution across the Durham University.
