Congratulations to Our 2026 Graduates!

We are delighted to celebrate the achievements of our Economics and PPE students who graduated in July 2026. The graduation ceremony was a joyful occasion, marking the culmination of years of hard work, dedication, and intellectual growth. From coursework to dissertations and the lively debates, our graduates have truly made the most of their time at Durham. We couldn’t be prouder of everything they’ve accomplished and look forward to seeing the positive impact they will make in the world.

Academic Awards

Adam Smith Academic Achievement Award: awarded to Nathan Morris (BA Economics), who has achieved the highest weighted average in the Final Year of one of the Economics programmes (Economics, Economics with French, Economics with Management).

Prize for the Best Dissertation: awarded to Kiyo Brandreth-Stroud (BA PPE), who has achieved the highest mark in the Dissertation in Economics.

Academic Achievement Award: awarded to Tommy Rothwell (BSc Economics), who has achieved the highest weighted overall in the Philosophy, Politics and Economics or the Economics and Politics programme.

Academic Achievement Award: awarded to Evan Tan (BA PPE), who has achieved the highest weighted average in the Final Year of the Philosophy, Politics and Economics or the Economics and Politics programme.

Academic Achievement Award: awarded to Jennifer Girgis (BA PPE), who has achieved the highest weighted average in the Final Year of the Philosophy, Politics and Economics or the Economics and Politics programme.

Outstanding Contribution Award: awarded to Leah Kramer (BA PPE),  who has made an outstanding contribution to the Department of Economics and/or University throughout the academic year or duration of a degree programme. 

Outstanding Contribution Award: awarded to Maria Murtinho (BA PPE), who has made an outstanding contribution to the Department of Economics and/or University throughout the academic year or duration of a degree programme.
