Student Common Room charge - JCR membership
The University and College assume that the majority of our students will want to fully participate in the life of the JCR (Junior Common Room) with all the benefits that has to offer.
We offer the JCR Membership Fee to you, encompassing your full time here at Durham, at a cost of £195 for students starting a 3-year course and £245 for a 4-year course. Please contact grey.president@durham.ac.uk for more information, or treasurer@greyjcr.co.uk if you would like to apply for support with paying for the Membership Fee.

Induction week
The JCR organises a variety of events during Welcome and Orientation Week (WOW) to help you settle into College life, with assistance from a team of student volunteers. The cost of for participating, which includes a t-shirt and wristband which allows you access to these events. This must be paid for in advance of participation – to avoid delay at registration, you are encouraged to use the payment page to make this payment in advance. There is support available for students less able to pay.
