We are incredibly proud of our inclusive, multicultural, and supportive community at St Aidan's College. Student wellbeing is paramount to our values, and to ensure you as a student have the best experience here at Durham University we have a dedicated Student Support and Development based within college.
The Student Support team are not only here to provide pastoral support on a day-to-day basis, but we also encourage your personal development. Whether you have general queries that you aren't sure of, or want to speak about anything that is impacting on your wellbeing in a confidential setting, we are available from Monday to Friday, 9am till 5pm. We operate on an open-door policy, removing the barrier of a closed door to encourage you to seek out the support you need, so feel free to pop your head in at any time.
We can assist with a range of topics, including but not limited to:
If you aren't in Durham, or need to contact us for a non-emergent concern, we are also contactable by email at sa.studentsupport@durham.ac.uk
Throughout the academic year, we also host events to engage with students. These events can range greatly, catered to the time of year (such as exam periods, or Fresher's Week) and not only assist in developing personal skills but also foster positive relationships in the college community.
