The Department of Biosciences hosts a broad range of mass spectrometry platforms for bioanalytical applications. These are organised into specialist areas: Metabolomics, which focuses on small molecules such as lipids and metabolites; Metallomics, dedicated to the analysis of metal species; and Proteomics, supporting protein identification and characterisation, including post-translational modifications.
