Study Abroad

For those interested in combining their degree with learning, or improving another language, experiencing another culture and studying in another country, we offer exchange programmes. We have both MEng and BSc programmes in Computer Science with Year Abroad.

This opportunity allows you to take an extra year in another country, making the degree up to five years in total. The year abroad is taken after two years of study in Durham on the BSc programme, or after two or three years on the MEng programme.

Applicants do not apply directly for these programmes. Students who apply for one of our Computer Science programmes can transfer to a Year Abroad programme after they arrive in Durham.
