PGCE programmes
If you already have a degree and want to pursue a career in teaching our PGCE programmes are for you.
The School of Education is a provider of Initial Teacher Training (ITT) for both the Primary and Secondary phases.
Our primary and secondary PGCE awards are equivalent to 60 Masters level credits, which is greater than the credits offered by most providers. This is also beneficial if you wish to continue your studies to a Diploma (120 credits) or a Masters (180 credits).
PGCE Primary
PGCE Secondary - Biology
PGCE Secondary - Chemistry
PGCE Secondary - Physics
PGCE Secondary - English
PGCE Secondary - Geography
PGCE Secondary - History
PGCE Secondary - Mathematics
PGCE Secondary - Modern Languages
Overall, the PGCE course has been such a fantastic experience for developing as a teacher and working with children day-to-day (which is the biggest highlight!).
