There is no such thing as a typical Geography career. Our graduates go on to an exciting range of jobs in varied sectors. 

Our graduates are highly employable. Our Department was ranked 1st for Geography in the 2025 Good University Guide produced by The Times/Sunday Times and this included a score of 94.4 for graduate prospects, the highest for our subject in the UK.

The seminars & workshops with professors at the very top of their fields challenged us to improve our communication, presentation and thinking techniques. These transferable skills have been immensely useful in my career alongside the vast amount of practical environmental knowledge I use in my everyday work.
