Applying for Funding

To be considered for a funding competition, you must first to apply to the History PhD programme using the application link on the Research Degrees page. In the Intended Funding section of the application process, please indicate which funding scheme(s) you wish to apply for. Please ensure that your PhD application is submitted before the relevant funding deadline.

Referees for postgraduate research applications should submit their references through the application portal or directly to the Arts and Humanities Postgraduate Research Team via artsandhumanities.pgrteam@durham.ac.uk. Referees are only notified about the reference request once the application has been submitted through the application portal. Please ensure that references arrive at the department by the relevant funding deadline.
