Professor James Blowey, Director of Natural Sciences
The flexibility of the Natural Sciences degree at Durham distinguishes it from any other University. Only here could I have studied the full breadth of my interests, from the way computers solve problems, to the way that people learn and develop, and especially what is possible to learn from fiction. The department also offers fantastic support and advice about what is best to study, what to do if you change your mind, and what degree you will end up with at the end.
Once your acceptance form has been processed, you'll receive emails from our IT service with your CIS login and password. You'll need these to enrol online. After this, over the next few weeks, look out for emails from Natural Sciences. These emails will include information on module registration and will guide you through further steps for your course.
The Timetable has been designed so College events don’t clash with any of your academic departmental events, but offer you lots of opportunities to meet your fellow Freshers, find your way around and settle into student life.
Check out our student blogs to read more about life at Durham from our students. Don't forget to follow us on social media!
