Dr Jack Symes from our top-rated Philosophy Department has appeared in a new episode of Jubilee Media’s popular debate series Surrounded, bringing ethical philosophy to a wide international audience.
The episode has been met with an overwhelmingly positive response, with viewers praising Jack’s excellent delivery and persuasive argumentation.
In the episode, titled 1 Vegan vs 20 Meat Eaters, Jack takes part as the central guest in a fast-paced discussion on veganism, animal welfare, health and the environment.
The format sees one speaker respond to questions and challenges from a large group with different viewpoints.
Known for making philosophy accessible beyond academia, Jack used the programme to explain complex ethical ideas in a clear and engaging way.
