Students talking and smiling at a high table in Durham University Business School

Our MSc International Business has been ranked second globally, first in the UK and first in Europe in the QS International Trade Rankings 2027.

The result follows a strong debut for the programme in the 2026 ranking, when it placed third globally.

Strong graduate outcomes

Durham also achieved an excellent result for Graduate Outcomes, ranking second in the world in this area.

The School ranked 21st globally for both Reputation and Research.

The QS ranking assesses programmes across six broad areas: Trade Programme Content, Reputation, Graduate Outcomes, Industry Engagement, Innovative Teaching and Research.

For 2027, 110 programmes across 39 countries have been ranked.

Programme Director, Professor Joseph Amankwah-Amoah said:

“To be ranked second in the world is a fantastic achievement for our MSc International Business programme. We are particularly pleased to see the strength of our graduate outcomes recognised.

“Our focus is on giving students the knowledge, experience and global perspective they need to succeed in an increasingly interconnected business environment.”

The MSc International Business equips students with the knowledge and skills to navigate the opportunities and challenges of international business.
