This event is part of the Major Project 'Reconceptualising Resistance' which explores several key areas around disciplinary and methodological orientations; divergence between empirical, theoretical, and normative framings of resistance, and the role academic research can play in conceptualising resistance.
This second workshop in a series of three will examine the concepts of Success & Failure and (In)Visibility of Resistance. It is led by IAS Fellow Professor Winnifred Louis (University of Queensland) and IAS Visiting Scholar Dr Mai Albzour (Birzeit University) who are both contributors to this IAS Major Project.
The event will be hybrid and the organisers will try to tailor some of the content for those joining online.
This second workshop will focus on the topics (broadly speaking) of (in)visibility of resistance and success/failure. Provisional schedule:
Please let the organisers know if you can make it and fill out the registration form by Friday 16 October 2026 : https://forms.cloud.microsoft/e/zTELJ5ra0T
