New Funding Opportunity for IMH PGRs and ECRs

The PGR/ECR Pathways Fund  offers small, practical support for IMH Postgraduate and Early Career Fellows to build connections that advance research related to the Medical Humanities. Wherever possible, projects supported by the fund should link in with the interdisciplinary strands represented by the IMH’s six existing Research Groups. Furthermore, ECR/PGR Fellows are encouraged to link their events to existing activities in the IMH calendar. 

Applications can be for up to £500. 

Please approach Katrin Wehling-Giorgi with your idea and an indicative budget by the following deadlines:  

• Round 1: Apply by Wednesday 4 November 2026 
• Round 2: Apply by Wednesday 20 January 2027 

At least two applicants per proposal. Applicants must be IMH Fellows. 

Awarded funds can indicatively (but not exclusively) be used to support the following activities:  

• Enable people to meet and collaborate 
• Invite speakers 
• Paying for room hire, travel to a planning meeting 
• Basic material 
• Catering
