A warm welcome to Palak Daga, who joins the Institute for Medical Humanities as a Communications Intern.
Palak is a second-year PhD student in the Department of English Studies at Durham University. Her research project explores the complementary relationship between literary representations of grief and the reader. In doing so, she is interested in gaining insights about the formulation of popular perceptions of grief, reader expectations, and literature’s role in depicting a variety of grief experiences.
Outside of her research, she enjoys movies and travelling.
Palak is excited for the opportunity to join the IMH as the new Communications Intern and learn from the role and the interdisciplinary research interests of the IMH.
