DRMC Week, 11-14 May 2026. Please come along and support a week of Methods - all week long!!

Following the success of DRMC Week in 2024 we have brought it back for 2026. The week will include:

Monday 11th May

1.00pm - Statistics Seminar (supported by LMS) with Professor Narayanaswamy Balakrishnan, a Professor in the Department of Mathematics & Statistics from McMaster University, Ontario, Canada. Venue - Room MCS2068, Department of Mathematical Sciences.

Tuesday 12th May

10.30am - DRMC Visual Methods and Media Panel - "How can scholars harness visual arts, media, and methods?" Venue - Room 418, Bar Lounge, Mill Hill Lane. (Please register for this event)

2.00pm - ABM Presentation - "Understanding spatial behaviour and crime: An agent-based modelling perspective" with Professor Liz Groff, Professor Emerita at Temple University, Philadelphia. Venue - Room 418, Bar Lounge, Mill Hill Lane. (Please register for this event)

Wednesday 13th May

Thursday 14th May

5.00pm - Christine Merrell Annual Methods Lecture - "Large Language Models and the Future of Qualitative Research", by Professor Susan Halford, University of Bristol, & Professor Leslie Carr, University of Southampton.
