The conference is one of the key activities of the European Social Simulation Association (ESSA), aimed at promoting social simulation in Europe and elsewhere. This year’s special theme is “Embracing the social in computational social science." The Durham Research Methods Centre is delighted to host this conference as part of our commitment to promoting cutting edge methods in social science.

24th August 2026: Start of conference. As always, Monday will be devoted to workshops, with the conference running Tuesday to Lunchtime on Friday.
