Measuring Collectivization through the Lens of Social Movement: Key Takeaways for Decolonizing Measurement

Social movements are dynamic, non-linear, and constantly evolving. Capturing their complexities and true impact requires an embedded and reflective approach that transcends traditional metrics.  

In this talk, Pradeep Narayanan, Advisor at Praxis Institute for Participatory Practices, New Delhi, India, will share insights from diverse experiences, highlighting:

1.⁠ ⁠Unique challenges in measuring social movements; and techniques to capture their fluid and dynamic nature; and ideas to align measurement practices with collectivization values and objectives

2. Attempt towards building anti-colonial epistemology in a contemporary debated on corporate due diligence.

A facilitated discussion will explore key takeaways for current decolonisation journeys.

 

About the speaker:

Pradeep Narayanan is a participatory practitioner with more than 25 years of experience of working on diverse themes including child rights, business and human rights and value chain due diligence.
