Dr Avishek Das has joined the Department of Physics and the Durham Centre for Soft Matter as an Assistant Professor.
Avishek was previously at AMOLF, Amsterdam for postdoctoral research and at the University of California Berkeley for his PhD. In Durham, he will work on understanding the role of mechano-chemical coupling in information processing in biology. He will develop new theoretical and computational tools to quantify such information processing and to discover the fundamental design principles of mechano-chemical motifs.
