Biography
Mark Amakoromo is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Durham Law School. Mark holds an LLB from Rivers State University in Nigeria, an LLM with distinction from the University of Aberdeen, and a PhD from the Centre for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law and Policy, University of Dundee. Mark’s thesis titled “Towards an Enabling Legal Environment for International Climate Technology Transfer: A Responsibility-Solidarity Perspective” addressed key barriers hindering effective climate technology transfer under international law through a responsibility and solidarity lens. Mark is a qualified barrister and solicitor in Nigeria and a Lecturer in Law at Niger Delta University in Nigeria. He is also the Research Coordinator for the African Natural Resources and Energy Law Network.
