Oluseyi is a PhD candidate. She holds LLB and LLM degrees from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. She is a lecturer in the Department of Public and Private law, Lagos State University, Nigeria, where she was teaching Criminal Law, Human Rights Law and Media Law before embarking on her doctoral studies.

Current research

Oluseyi’s research focuses on the application of the international right to health to the prevention or reduction of maternal mortality and morbidity in Nigeria. Her study critically examines the normative framework of the right to health in relation to protecting women and girls from maternal mortality and morbidity and also undertakes in depth analysis of the challenges of complying with the dictates of the framework in order to reduce maternal mortality and morbidity in Nigeria, given the Nigerian environment. A combination of socio legal and comparative approaches will be employed to achieve the objectives of the research.
