Employers have told us that Durham hosts the most impactful careers events in the North East, and our new Summer Careers Fair builds upon that strength. It offers a platform for organisations to raise their profile, connect with exceptional students and support those who are still securing their next opportunity. We are committed to developing partnerships that benefit our students, our employers and the wider region.

Simon Brandwood
Director of Careers & Enterprise

The Summer Careers Fair will build on this momentum from the fairs held in October 2025 and is open to all sectors, but particularly:

  • Creative industries, non-profits, public sector, retail, logistics, IT, and more.
  • Employers of all sizes – from regional SMEs to national graduate recruiters.
  • Organisations looking to return and continue building their brand with Durham students.
  • Employers who missed the autumn sector-specific fairs and wish to engage with a wide student audience.

Please note: The fair is open to Durham University students only, including current students and recent graduates.

Disclaimer

Durham University (Careers and Enterprise Service) is committed to providing an impartial and inclusive service that supports all students to explore their career or entrepreneurial ambitions. On occasion, there may be businesses, industries and employers in attendance at an organised activity, event or fair with whom some of the university community might choose to demonstrate their disagreement.  We fully respect the right of students to express their views peacefully, and the University will take appropriate steps to manage any associated risks appropriately and proportionately.

Where appropriate, participating organisations will be asked to provide a risk assessment and ensure their representatives are suitably briefed and prepared for engagement with our diverse student community.
