  • Our Student Employment Coordinator is on hand to offer advice where appropriate, including; rates of pay, information on employing international students and employment legislation for job adverts
  • The Student Employment Service is a professional service that follows nationally recognised Codes of Practice
  • Get involved in events hosted by the Careers & Enterprise Centre
  • In addition to free advertising of vacancies, we would also be happy to host you on campus to promote opportunities via presentation, cafe pop-up or simply have a room booked to informally discuss current vacancies with students (ALL at no cost!)

Adding/Managing your Vacancy

The easiest way to promote your opportunities to Durham University students  is through our online Vacancy Advertising Portal, which can be viewed by all our current students and many of our recent graduates. This self-service system is free, allowing you to oversee and manage your own recruitment.

To begin, register your organisation or log in to an existing account. If you're unsure if your organisation is already registered, please either re-register and we can merge the accounts or email us at ses@durham.ac.uk.

By registering on the Vacancy Advertising Portal, you will be able to:

  • Upload and manage your organisation's profile and display the logo
  • Directly submit opportunities, including graduate vacancies, internships, and placement years
  • Manage organisation contacts online
  • Manage expiration dates and remove filled vacancies
  • Contact the Careers & Enterprise Centre directly from your profile page

If you require support adding or amending your vacancy, please don't hesitate to contact the Student Employment Service - ses@durham.ac.uk
