The Hunt-Raymond Innovation Prize is designed to celebrate creativity, imagination and future-focussed scientific ideas from across the Durham University student and graduates of the last three years community. It is Durham’s most prestigious student innovation competition and has a prize fund of £30,000.
Its purpose is to accelerate Durham University’s Science Transformation Plan by engaging students in scientific creativity and interdisciplinary problem-solving, generating ideas that could shape the future of science, technology, and society.

Although the categories are STEM related, we encourage from students of all disciplines, and at all stages, to apply. Venture Lab is keen to promote interdisciplinary collaboration, combining insights from science, engineering, social sciences and the arts to develop novel solutions to significant problems.
