Join us for one of our Discover Durham Tours this autumn to explore our campus and the beautiful city on Monday 26 October.
Each tour will begin with a welcome talk from one of our College Principals, offering insight into the collegiate experience, academic life and what makes studying at Durham distinctive. Afterwards, our friendly student ambassadors will lead guided tours of our campus and the city.
Our Discover Durham tours are for undergraduate and postgraduate prospects, applicants, and offer holders. You may bring up to two guests to join the tour. Tours will take place on Monday 26 October, with morning and afternoon sessions available.
Please note that timings are a guide. Your tour may be shorter or longer based on group size, tour route and Q&A discussion.
Registration will take place at the Mount Oswald Hub. Please arrive 15 minutes before your tour start time so we can check you in.
During the welcome talk, you'll discover what makes Durham such a special place to study. We'll introduce you to our unique collegiate system and explore how it enhances the student experience academically, socially, and personally. The session also includes a Q&A with our student ambassadors, giving you the chance to ask questions, gain first-hand insights, and hear directly from current students about life at Durham.
After the talk, you'll join one of our fantastic student ambassadors for a guided campus tour. Where possible, our ambassadors may tailor the route to your group's interests and available time. Please note that tours do not include access to individual college or department buildings. However, your ambassador will be happy to share insights into these spaces and answer any questions you may have along the way.
The tour will finish with a tour of the historic Palace Green area of Durham City.
Booking is essential for our tours on Monday 26 October. Choose between a morning tour (9.30am-12pm) and an afternoon tour (2pm-4.30pm), whichever suits you best.
