Access to Student Support
At Durham we want every student to reach their full potential. There is support available for you throughout your journey with us to help you succeed.
Each College and Academic Department has a dedicated Student Support Team, who can provide support and direct you to our range of specialist services, such as mental wellbeing support, disability support, and student money advice.

Counselling and Mental Health Service
The Counselling and Mental Health Service offers a range of psychological support for students with difficulties that may be impacting successful engagement with study and with wider University life. This includes workshops and groups, and 1:1 sessions.
Careers Advice
The Careers and Enterprise Centre provides access to extensive and relevant careers advice and information.
Disability Support Service
Disability Support offers advice and guidance to both prospective and current students within the University.
Immigration Support
The Student Immigration Office:
- Provides advice for international students looking to enter or extend their leave to remain in the UK to study.
- Works with departments across the University to ensure compliance with UK Visas & Immigration (UKVI) regulations.
