After graduation I went with Geoffrey Coates, who graduated with me, to Saint Johns Newfoundland where we did an internship together. After completing that we started a family practice together in Ansonville northern Ontario. After five years we sold the practice and went to Toronto to persue further education. Geoff in nuclear medicine and I did a year of internal medicine followed by a masters degree in exercise physiology. I then worked in emergency medicine and cardiac rehabilitation for many years during which time I was involved in rehabilitating heart transplant patients at Harefield hospital in England with professor Sir Magdi Yacoub. I was the director of the human performance laboratory at the Toronto Cardiac Rehabilitation Centre.

Finally I ended up doing occupational health in Oshawa for General Motors. I am now retired.
