Ardi Echevarria appointed to music lectureship at Oxford University

Ardi Echevarria has been appointed to a permanent lectureship at Somerville College and St Catherine's College, Oxford University, which he will take up in the academic year 2026-27. Ardi will teach music analysis and subjects in music history.

Ardi's PhD dissertation, recently completed in the Music Department at Durham under the supervision of Professor Julian Horton, concerned the theory and analysis of form in nineteenth-century symphonic music. His appointment at Oxford follows his recent success in publishing an article on Wagner's Siegfried Idyll in the prestigious journal Music Analysis.
