Supporting your learning 

 Your Faculty Librarian can: 

  • Support you in developing your confidence, knowledge and skills in finding, using and managing quality information sources for your assignments and research projects. 
  • Offer professional advice through 1-2-1 support and consultations or formal and informal training on how to make best use of the most appropriate resources available to you 
  • Provide subject specific guidance to help you get the most from our resources. 
  • Provide guidance to help you with citing, referencing and using reference management software such as Endnote.

Supporting your teaching  

We can: 

  • Advise on available resources to support your teaching and course development and help ensure that content from your reading list is available for your students. 
  • Provide subject-specific research skills sessions for students from student inductions through to literature review workshops for dissertations to help your students get the most from the library and its resources. 
  • Develop online tutorials and support for you to embed into your own courses and course materials.

  • Provide guidance on open access publishing, systematic reviews, publication and citation metrics (bibliometrics)
