To celebrate Global Week 2024, a variety of global cuisines will be available to experience across campus. From Monday 26 to Thursday 29 February, a different food van will be on campus each day outside the Bill Bryson library, offering signature dishes from across the globe.
Cafes across campus will also be offering special Global Week menus featuring dishes from around the world. Students in catered colleges will be able to tuck into a Turkish-themed menu on Friday 1 March, and the International Themed Formal will feature a menu of international dishes to enjoy.
Run by Syrian refugee Mouhyedin, Falafel Fella serves up fresh falafel made in the traditional Syrian style according to a family recipe.
Eden Crepes offers a modern twist on the classic French crepe, with a variety of flavours as well as vegan and gluten-free options.
Copper Ricebox serves up delicious and vibrant Asian-style street food from a variety of cuisines and cultures.
The award-winning Acropolis is a North East favourite, serving up classic Greek gyros and more.
Enjoy the very best world cuisine from south America to the far east, with African and European favourites thrown in along the way. Special Global Week menus will be served in Fusion, Zing and Circolo from Monday 26 February to Friday 1 March between 11:30am-2:30pm.
