Online Open Days: Discover Durham Virtually

On 10 and 11 February, we will be hosting 6 different sessions at various times over the course of each day, so why not sign up to learn more about postgraduate life at Durham. You can join the sessions at a time that suits you best!

Our general sessions will cover why you should choose Durham as your next study destination, how to apply and provide an overview of our unique collegiate system. You will also be able to find out about where your postgraduate qualification can take you in your career, what support we offer and talk to current students and Durham alumni! All sessions will begin with a presentation from our experts as well as leaving lots of opportunity for questions at the end.

Why Durham? 

Do you want to find out what Durham is really like? Why not find out from the experts themselves? This session will be led by one of our knowledgeable Student Recruitment Team who will tell you more about our University and what we can offer our students. They will be joined by a panel of student ambassadors who will talk about their postgraduate experiences.

Our colleges are at the heart of life at Durham. From day-to-day activities to special events, there are so many ways to make friends and have fun, while increasing your skills and experience. Understanding Postgraduate Funding

Completing a postgraduate qualification at Durham University requires commitment to your studies right from the start. We recommend budgeting for student life well in advance to make sure that funding issues are not a barrier to you getting the best out of your experience. During this session, Raj Singh, from our Funding Team, will guide you through the costs and funding options for postgraduate study. Please note, this session is primarily aimed at students from the UK, although all students may find some of the advice on budgeting helpful.

Postgraduate Careers

Our careers experts will be on hand to help you understand where your postgraduate degree can take you following the completion of your chosen course. It doesn't matter if you have no idea about the direction you want to go in, or have a specific career in mind already, during this session we will be able to provide you with lots of useful information and advice.
