We are currently developing our new access and participation plan. This will be submitted to the Office for Students in 2024. The new plan is expected to take effect from 2025-26, though a great deal of activity will begin to be delivered from 2024 onward.
Students are covered by the plan in place at the time they started their studies. That plan applies throughout their studies, even if we have introduced new plans in later years. The most recent plans are known as ‘access and participation plans’ or ‘APPs’. These plans have been approved by the Office for Students. Before this, universities instead had “Access Agreements”. Those agreements were approved by the Office for Fair Access (OFFA).
