Durham alumni were involved in more than a dozen productions at this year's Edinburgh Festival Fringe, bringing comedy, theatre, musical performance, circus and new writing to audiences at one of the world's largest performing arts festivals.

For the beginning of the new academic year, four of our colleges are welcoming new Interim Heads of College. These are St Cuthbert’s Society, Stephenson College, St Mary’s College and Ustinov College.

Thousands of students celebrated the culmination of their Durham journey during Summer Congregation 2026. Our Vice-Chancellor and Warden, Professor Karen O’Brien and Chancellor Dr Fiona Hill joined them to celebrate their achievements in Durham Cathedral.
