Studying abroad gives students an amazing opportunity to expand their horizons. During the year you will experience new places and cultures, while also by deepening and expanding your academic knowledge. The following 'key dates' timeline is the typical process for a student applying in their second year and going abroad in year three.

Apply via the online form. Allocations will be confirmed by the International Office.

You will be informed of the outcome of your Non European exchange application before Christmas, this may be after term finishes, please check your Durham email account regularly.

Complete compulsory pre-departure requirements
Students will be emailed with pre-departure requirements. These are summarised on the 'preparing to go' page linked in the six step series at the base of this page.
