Imagine holding a meeting or event on a World Heritage Site or among Ancient Egyptian artefacts? 

We offer unique venues in Durham with a selection of different facilities for meetings of up to 80 people or venue hire for events of up to 200 attendees.  

The Museum of Archaeology and Learning Centre within Palace Green Library offer central locations in the historic heart of Durham, close to the Cathedral and Castle for events of different sizes.   

Within walking distance of Durham University’s main campus, the Oriental Museum with its stunning collections from China to ancient Egypt offers a beautiful and unique setting.

Durham Castle 

A range of spaces within Durham Castle can be hired for meetings, banquets, wedding receptions and a range of other special occasions. The Castle also offers a comfortable range of Bed and Breakfast accommodation within the walls.
