Collections Outreach

The Learning and Engagement Team work across all the venues of the University’s Library and Collections. The team offer the Collections Outreach programme, working with a range of groups, from schools to communities. We offer a range of opportunities for those interested in volunteering with the team: 

  • Supporting our community engagement programme, including faith events and our family activity programme 
  • Promoting the Durham World Heritage Site through our Youth Ambassador programme 
  • Supporting the delivery of our hybrid school programme across all our venues.  

In return, you can gain valuable experience to add to your CV and learn more about careers in museums and archives and special collections. Volunteering can also be incredibly rewarding and fun, as you help people get the most out of their visit!
