Durham Archaeology Explorers (DAX)

Durham Archaeology Explorers (DAX) is an archaeology club for children aged 7 - 11 years. 

DAX meets monthly at the Oriental Museum. We also go on regular field trips to local archaeological and heritage sites. Each session focuses on a different aspect of archaeology. The programme is varied and makes use of the collections and exhibitions at the Oriental Museum and Museum of Archaeology. Children can get hands-on with museum objects, try experiments, develop archaeological skills and have fun.
