Botanic Garden Fun Day 2026 - Monday 25 May, 11:00am - 4:00pm

Come along to enjoy the Botanic Garden annual Fun Day this Bank Holiday Monday 25 May. There will be a host of FREE, family-friendly activities for visitors of all ages to enjoy, from face-painting to flower arranging, to crafts and Samurai sword demonstrations and discover our Crazy Creatures, all accompanied by live music from Pittington Brass Band. Plus - Our Friends of the Garden will be holding their annual plant sale!
MG Car Display - Sunday 19 July 2026, 10:00am - 3:00pm

The Durham MG & Classic Car Club was formed in 2001 for local car enthusiasts interested in MG cars, both classic and modern.
This informal gathering will showcase cars representing models produced from the late 1940s through to the early 2000s. Visitors will be invited to nominate their favourite car on display, with a small trophy being awarded to the overall winner.

Durham Orchid Show - Sunday 6 September, 10:00am - 4:00pm

The North East of England Orchid Society, Durham University and the Botanic Garden present the Durham Orchid Show and Craft Fair at Josephine Butler College.
