The Volunteers of the Museum of Archaeology

Volunteers are an invaluable part of any museum's team and come from all walks of life. Without their dedicated time, knowledge and energy behind the scenes, we wouldn’t achieve half as much as we do. 

This exhibition highlighted some of the work carried out by our team of volunteers at the Museum of Archaeology. It explored everything from the everyday tasks they undertake, to the exciting mysteries they come across. Our volunteers put together this exhibition to showcase some of their favourite artefacts, including bones, ceramics and glass. 

Visitors were invited to explore the work of our volunteers and get to understand the community aspect of museum life at the Museum of Archaeology.
