Ustinov College offers a welcoming, inclusive environment for students and families from around the world, helping you feel at home in Durham from the very start. Many families choose to live together in College accommodation at Keenan House or Dryburn Court, where it’s easy to connect with other families, build friendships, and develop strong support networks. Others enjoy settling into the wider Durham community in nearby areas such as Gilesgate or Newton Hall, while remaining fully part of College life.

Wherever you live, families at Ustinov College are warmly supported, with guidance available to help you settle into the city, the University, and the College community. Family accommodation is popular and in high demand, so early applications are encouraged. All students with families are invited to explore their options and become part of Ustinov’s vibrant, international community.

Please note that family accommodation is limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. The timeframe and means of applying for family accommodation is the same as for all other postgraduates via the College Membership and Accommodation Application. It does not form part of the University’s postgraduate accommodation guarantee, and availability cannot be guaranteed.
