Nomadic Weavings tells the story of traditional hand-woven goods made by formerly nomadic rural communities in Iran.
Combining the fieldwork research, photographs and videos captured throughout the career of Professor Susan Wright with a selection of bags, carpets and other textiles now part of the Oriental Museum collection, the exhibition celebrates resourceful craftsmanship and artistry while exploring how social and political changes affect the life and work of a community.
