Facilities
Collingwood is a single-site college designed so that almost everything you need is within easy reach. Academic, social and recreational spaces sit alongside one another, creating a connected environment that makes it simple to take part, stay involved and make the most of college life. Our facilities have been developed with purpose: supported by a major alumni gift, we have invested in spaces that do more than impress — they enable, encouraging students to get involved, try new things and develop beyond their degree.
At the heart of the college are spaces that support community, creativity, sport and study alike. The Junior Common Room and Stag's Head bar provide lively places to meet and unwind; the Performing Arts Centre, music studio and dedicated film, media and art spaces support performance and creative work; and an extended air-conditioned gym, fitness and dance studio and floodlit multi-use games area make it easy to compete, train or simply stay active. The college library and study spaces offer a focused setting for independent work, while the dining hall serves as a daily point of connection for the whole community. Beyond the buildings, our grounds and outdoor seating areas — including the bar terrace — provide space to relax, socialise and recharge.
Many of these facilities are student-led, with elected representatives helping to manage and programme activity, ensuring that spaces remain active, relevant and shaped by the people who use them.
