Middle Common Room

Postgraduate students at Collingwood can choose to become members of the Middle Common Room (MCR). Student leaders of the Middle Common Room will arrange events for postgraduate members throughout the year, including inter-MCR formal dinners, where postgraduates from other colleges will join us for a meal and entertainment in the Collingwood dining hall. All postgraduates have the opportunity to get involved with these events, and even help to organise them.

The common rooms at Collingwood work closely together. Postgraduates at Collingwood are in a unique position because a Middle Common Room membership also includes a membership to the JCR and the SCR! This means you’ll be able to participate fully in all the sports clubs, societies and committees at Collingwood, vote in elections, and be able to attend events organised by any of our three common room communities!
